SECOND-HAND POLICY

Sleeping Dragon has a strict policy on the purchase of second-hand goods.

1/ For legal reasons we will not buy or sell second-hand goods from or to persons under the age of 18.

2/ All second-hand goods bought or sold at Sleeping Dragon must conform to a second-hand goods condition rating. These ratings are described below as well as on the second-hand goods condition page of our website (note items rated poor must also include an attached damage report).

3/ We assume no responsibility for damage incurred by second-hand goods during transit. The condition of second-hand goods will be assessed on the condition which they arrive or leave our store. If you are concerned about risk of damage to goods during transit it is you should consider organising insurance for your delivery to or from the store.

4/ Sleeping Dragon reserves the sole right to judge the condition of second-hand goods sold to and from the store and will not enter into any disputes regarding the condition of second-hand goods sold to or from the store.

5/ Sleeping Dragon will not accept anything but 100% authentic goods for second-hand trade or sale. Pirate copies of cards, games, books and anime are illegal and damaging the industry, if Sleeping Dragon receives such items for trade or sale they will be destroyed immediately.

NB: At the present time we do not accept second hand anime DVDs for sale or credit.

 

SELLING SECOND-HAND GOODS AT SLEEPING DRAGON

In order to sell second-hand goods to Sleeping Dragon you will need to follow these 5 simple steps.

1/ Items you wish to sell must first be allocated a second-hand goods condition rating in accordance with those listed below. Assess each item for wear and damage and choose a rating which best describes the items quality. Please note that items rated as poor must also be accompanied by a complete damage report detailing the extent of the damage.

2/ Send a list of the items you wish to sell, complete with their condition ratings and damage reports (if necessary) to secondhand@sleepingdragon.com.au. We will assess your items and e-mail you an offer for the goods.

3/ If you choose to accept the offer you must package and mail the items to us along with a completed disclaimer form (see below). Please note that the cost of the delivery is your own responsibility and Sleeping Dragon will take no responsibility for damage occurring during posting, we can only judge the items on the condition in which they are received, not that in which they are sent. So be sure to package your items carefully and make sure they are waterproof and safe from impact. If the disclaimer is incomplete or the goods do not agree with the condition rating or damage report we will return the goods without payment/credit.

5/ When we receive your goods we will check that the items conform to the standards indicated by the condition rating that you assigned as well as assess any applicable damage reports. If the items conform to the ratings we will send an e-mail informing you of the acceptance of the goods. You may choose to accept your payment as cash or credit at our store, if you choose to accept credit will issue you with a gift certificate for the offered amount plus a further 10% bonus on the amount. If you choose to accept cash we will, at this time, request your bank account details for direct deposit.

 

SECOND-HAND GOODS CONDITION RATINGS

Mint - Items in as new condition. - Games still in packaging (if applicable), including box, all counters, pieces, dice, rulebooks, boards, etc. All of which should be in as new condition with no fading, creases, marks, stains, tears, chips, scratches or dents. - Miniatures and dice still in sealed packaging with no chips, dents, scratches or marks. - Manga, cards and Books in perfect condition, still in sealed packaging (if applicable), unread with no fading, creases, marks, stains or tears.

Good - Items in near new condition - Games still in near new condition, including box, all counters, pieces, dice, rulebooks, boards, etc. All of which should be in good condition and original format with no fading, creases, marks, stains, tears, chips, scratches or dents. Minimal age fading is acceptable. - Miniatures and dice in near new condition with no chips, dents, scratches or marks. - Manga, cards and Books in near new condition with no fading, creases, marks, stains or tears. Minimal age fading is acceptable.

Fair - Items in average condition. - Games still in average condition, including box, all counters, pieces, dice, rulebooks, boards, etc. All of which should be of reasonable quality with minimal fading, creases, marks, stains, tears, chips, scratches or dents; none of which impede the playability of the game (eg: rules and boards must be legible, counters and pieces recognisable and dice readable.). - Miniatures and dice in reasonable condition with minimal chips, dents, scratches or marks, none of which compromise the functionality of the piece (eg: miniatures must have all arms, legs, weapons, etc. Dice must be readable.). - Manga, cards and Books in reasonable condition with minimal fading, creases, marks, stains or tears; none of which impede the readability of the work.

Poor - Items in poor condition. - Items which fail to qualify in the above categories are considered poor and must be accompanied by a complete condition report specifying exact damage, all missing pieces, counters etc.
